Windermere Jetty | Build the Museum

Build the Museum

Thank you to the hundreds of donors who contributed to the Windermere Jetty capital appeal. With your support, Lakeland Arts has been hugely successful, raising over £16 million to take the Windermere Jetty project to the point of approaching completion of construction.

However, construction is taking longer than planned and the project was affected by the severe flooding that devastated so many communities in Cumbria in December 2015, resulting in additional environmental measures on site. This has placed our budgets under considerable pressure and increased our fundraising target.

There are many ways you can support us. Whatever the size of your donation, you will help to create a new world-class museum for Cumbria and one of the most significant cultural projects in the North-West. Your donation will help local communities and create new experiences for visitors to Windermere.
